‘Fitness’, ‘Health’, ‘Well-Being’ -Whenever we hear these terms, we relate them on a physical level. Isn’t it?
But, now the time has come when we link health with holistic well-being. Folks, mental strength is as much important as physical strength. Let’s accept the fact, the modern day is not deprived of anxiety, stress and depression because everyone is totally engrossed in the race of life without taking out time for relaxation. Meditation is one such pill that produces a deep state of calmness in the mind and results in enhanced physical, mental, social, spiritual and emotional well-being.

 

Draw clear boundaries among peers:

Bonding leads you towards better team performance, but you should know your limit. Up to what extent, you should interfere in one’s personal zone and how much free are you to be opinionated. Because in case your teammate gets upset with you, the repercussions can be seen on the field, which would not go favor in both of you. It’s better to be little distant with your peers off field.

Process consultation:

The team should welcome process consultation which consists of activities designed to increase team awareness and understanding, so that the team or organization can take necessary steps to improve the way members work together. Every new member should be introduced within teams, so that everyone can know him better.

Concentrate on your specific role:

Everyone should think of their specific team role. Outstanding performance is only possible when the team is well balanced where every member understands as well as performs it in the right way.
  • Captain: He must communicate with team members regarding their specific roles and should take tactical decisions on behalf of the coach.
  • Leader: He should lead the team to reach a goal by identifying and communicating strategies and leading by personal example.
  • Team Members: They should execute directions from the captain and the leader, and to support the super star in achieving individual results and hereby improve team performance.
  • Superstar: Superstars may also set standards, which motivate those less talented to excel further.

Things get easy, and the team spirit floats smoothly, when every member concentrates on their role and performs their best.

If situation gets worse, take help of conflict management team:

Every sports association has conflict management board which is mastered with skills to do justice. If situation gets worse, you can approach them to have better clarifications. You can primarily discuss the point of conflicts with coaches, administrators, team captains and then athletes.

Invite solutions from your team members:

Key to have a positive working environment is that you should always respect opinions and views from team members.  This increases the integrity, unity and positive attitude towards one another. Team bonding gets better when all of you invite solutions from each other, rather than dominating over each other by putting up only one sided opinions. The plan of action should be discussed with, so that everyone can participate and present better solutions.

Be realistic with your team members and your own self:

Honesty is the best policy; don’t try to be someone what you are not and also don’t expect from others.  You all must work on realistic approach which can be converted into action, easily achieved and also team will accept it without being over burdened.So, with the given measures, take a chill pill and send back stress on a never returning holiday and have your own fun with team mates.
